Paige Endo scores a career-high 13 points and made 6 steals. Kayla Kigawa matches her career-high in assists with 6. Also scoring in double figures was Arianna Anderson with 10 points.
The reserves get a lot of playing time as El Segundo handles Rosamond 70-23 (box score). Every player scored, and freshmen Morgan Gee and Melissa Euyoque made their first career baskets, with Melissa pulling down a team-high 5 rebounds. Sarah Chang led all scorers with 16 points and Kayla Kigawa added 13.
Senior co-captain Stephanie Gee shot a perfect 5-for-5 from the 3-point arc as El Segundo defeated Wilson (Hacienda Heights) 46-38 (box score). With 3 minutes left in the game, the Lady Eagles trailed Wilson by 2. Stephanie hit the last of her 3s to put El Segundo up by a point, then Sarah Chang scored 5 more to extend the lead. Junior Myia Mosley recorded her first career double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Sydney Hongo scored a career high 11 points and Arianna Anderson pulled down 8 boards. Freshman point-guard Paige Endo scored 8 points, dished out 6 assists, and made 4 steals with only 1 turnover.
